Times Litfest is an annual literature spectacle organised by The Times of India. The multi city event attracts Authors, Thinkers and Readers / Literature Enthusiasts across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. We at Leo were managing the mandate for Bangalore edition for consecutive 3 years since 2017.

Something unexpected happened in 2020. The world came to a stand still. Like all major events across the world the lockdown imposed by COVID-19 restrictions didn’t permit us to execute the festival.

The determined team at Times of India was not ready to disappoint its patrons. Leo Digital was assigned with the task to create a virtual platform and execute a centralized Litfest combining all cities. With less than 2 months to turnaround – Leo’s tech and production teams worked on a custom platform built on LEO CMS (our proprietary Content Management System) which was designed to bring the experience of an on ground Litfest to the virtual world.

With meticulous planning and testing – focused on Zero Margin for Error – the platform was launched in record time. The festival was launched by the Honourable Vice President of India – Sri. Venkaiah Naidu. Here is a sneak peek into the platform

The platform hosted few of the best authors and thinkers including Salman Rushdie, Devdutt Pattanaik, Tom Holland, Douglas Stuart, Priyanka Chopra, Shashi Tharoor, Anupam Kher and Rutger Bregman.

We hosted over 65 live sessions – attended by 25,000+ registered users. The campaign was a success with ZERO glitches during 3 Months of back to back Sessions.
